Partners and Collaborators

BP Lab is funded in part by NYSERDA and is a program of the CUNY Institute for Urban Systems. It’s housed in the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College and collaborates with the Institute on several initiatives, namely the Building Performance Toolkit for green property management, development of Advanced Energy Performance, an online certificate program in energy-efficiency for asset managers, and convening the Building Performance Stakeholder Consortium. BP Lab and the Institute are founding academic partners of Honest Buildings.

We receive guidance from the Consortium, which is co-chaired by Nancy Anderson, Executive Director of the Sallan Foundation and Barry Hersh, Clinical Associate Professor at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.

BP Lab is leading CUNY’s involvement in the Urban Technology Innovation Center, a joint initiative of the City of New York, CUNY, Columbia, and NYU-Poly.

We work closely with NYSERDA and several partners to deliver the nationally-recognized Building Operator Certification training in New York City. We’re partnering with Northwest Energy Efficiency Council to develop a new specialized training module for the program.

Finally, we are collaborating with Pacific Northwest National Lab on its Building Re-Tuning (BRT) protocol.
