noBAS Building Re-tuning (BRT) User Guide

Welcome to the resource page for BPL’s noBAS BRT User Guide!

noBAS BRT is a methodology developed by BPL for conducting Building Re-tuning (BRT) without a building automation system (BAS). Built on the BRT concept from Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL), noBAS BRT provides guidelines for saving energy in your facility for little or no cost — and, unlike PNNL’s BRT, it does not require the building to have a BAS.

The noBAS BRT program is generously supported by the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) Energy Management division (DEM).

The noBAS BRT User Guide uses seven macro-enabled MS Excel files. The guide includes instructions on how to use the macro enabled files, system requirements, and lists of all equipment needed to execute the guideline measures.
